Achieving a wonderful score in the 11+, 7+ or 8+ entrance exam is a huge milestone, but for the vast majority of independent schools, the interview is just as important a part of the admissions process. As specialist 11+ interview coaches, I and the team have been preparing children for independent school interviews for over fifteen years, and we know exactly what Heads of Admissions are looking for!
Why Interview Practice Matters
Even the most academically able children can find the interview daunting, meeting a new adult, answering unfamiliar questions, and being asked to talk confidently about themselves. Our 11+ and 7+ interview coaching sessions are designed to take the fear out of that moment entirely, so that every child walks in feeling like the very best version of themselves.
Our Approach to Interview Coaching
Role-play and mock interviews: real practice with real questions, delivered by tutors who have sat on the other side of the table and know exactly what schools are listening for.
Confidence coaching: practical techniques for eye contact, body language and articulate answers, delivered in the same fun, pressure-free style as our tuition sessions.
Tailored preparation: we get to know each child's personality, passions and talking points, and build a bank of natural, genuine answers rather than rehearsed scripts.
School-specific coaching: every school interviews differently, and we prepare children for the exact format of their target schools.
11+, 7+ and 8+ Interview Coaching, In Person or Online
We provide interview coaching for children preparing for 7+, 8+ and 11+ entry, as well as older children moving into the senior school interview process. Sessions are available in person across West and Southwest London, or via Zoom for families further afield.
