With each SEN or neurodiversity, JACKSONPREP will work alongside either the school’s SENCO or the child’s Educational Psychologist.
SEN Tutoring & Neurodiversity Support
Every child learns differently, and every child deserves teaching that works with the way their mind works. Our tutors have extensive experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and neurodivergent learners. That includes children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD and autism (ASD), as well as those who find processing speed, working memory or organisation difficult.
Specialist assessments
Our team includes a specialist Learning & Assessment Consultant who carries out formal assessments for children from age 8. Each one comes with a detailed written report and a follow-up discussion with parents. For younger children, from Reception upwards, we offer observation and guidance to help families understand early signs and next steps. Where ADHD or autism may be involved, we explain the process and point families towards the right professionals.
Working with your child’s school
We work closely with your child's SENCO, Educational Psychologist and any other specialists involved, so we understand exactly which recommendations are already in place. Sessions are planned to mirror and complement your child's Individual Education Plan (IEP), their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where one exists, and any learning targets set by school.

Just as importantly, we build on each child's strengths and interests, so confidence and self-esteem grow alongside skills.
SEN and entrance exams
Neurodivergent children can and do succeed at 7+, 8+ and 11+. We help families understand access arrangements such as extra time, rest breaks and the use of a laptop, and what evidence schools typically ask for. We also prepare children for exam conditions in a way that suits them.
Training and expertise
Our tutors have completed specialist training and certifications in SEN and neurodiversity, and our assessment consultant also delivers training in schools. The result is support that is up to date, highly professional, and empowering and uplifting for every child.
